i got a day old jersey giant -supposed to be- rooster in the mail 8 months ago and he is actually a little over 8 months old now, ---- but he has no wattles, hardly and he looks more like the jesrey giant hen than a rooster. i have read that they don't mature until 12 - 15 months or so but shouldn't he have a larger body. he is the same size and shape as my buff orpington hen except not as fluffy. Anyone else wonder if they had a hen instead of a rooster. i have 5 hens but i thought my giant was a rooster. Also, i got 6 eggs laid today from 5 hens does this mean that the black jersey giant is a rooster or he is a hen? can a hen lay 2 eggs in one day? knowledge and experience with jersey giant roosters would be appreciated. thank u
