Right now I have 6 Bantams that are about 7 weeks old and the coop is 3 days from being finished , it's large enough for 21 medium sized chickens. Right now I'm leaning towards buying 8 to 10 Jersey Giants and then having just my 6 bantams.

Will these breeds be suitable to live in the same coop together? I'll be buying the Giants as chicks and raising them in a brooder and then adding them to the coop. Also I only have one bantam rooster, and would like to have one jersey rooster. Does that seem reasonable?

I think that should be fine, especially because the bantams will be older and in the coop first. I raised silkies with my standard size chickens without any issues. I've also been able to merge standard size hens with bantams just fine too. I once had a pecking incident, but that happened long after the hens were merged, and I don't think it had to do with one of the chickens being a bantam.

I'm not an expert when it comes to roosters, but before I had two silkie roosters with one rhode island red rooster who were all raised together as chicks, and they got along just fine even though there were only 5 hens. I imagine it'll be alright, but hopefully someone else can weigh in.
