Hello, My name is Jkie (Jackie) am 74 and live in the Sierra Foothills. I have 4 Rouen Mallard ducks, 6 bantam chickens, 6 cats, and a little dog named Molly..... yep, having a lot of fun, tried to get hens from the baby chicks but they turned into roosters, so I have 4 roosters and two hens ... but hey, they all get along and no fighting - whew. I am new at this and like ya'll am learning as I go. I had one duck to the vet recently with I think was a respiratory problem, not sure, but the antibiotic I gave her for a week took cake of it. I LOVE my guys, and as long as I live I will have ducks and chicks. So much fun. I don't know how to use this site ... but I'll work it out. Nice to meet you.
