Hello -
My name is Jen and I am joining BYC, but without any chickens! I love chickens and visit my friend's coops from time to time.
I'm here because a peahen has just adopted my family and we want to do what is best for her. There seem to be a number of you with expertise on peafowl here, and I look forward to learning from you.
We are animal lovers trying to balance that love with our love of travel. (At the moment that means we're not traveling much which is fine). We have a wonderful, happy, 9-year old female Bernese Mountain Dog, and a somewhat peculiar, but very lovable geriatric male cat. We adopted him into his third (and fur-ever) home about 11 years ago and they estimated that he was about 6 then.
I look forward to learning from you all.
