Joining two coops??? Advice please.

Hello, I've added more chickens to my flock and they will be living together soon....hopefully. I have a very nice coop to house 4-5 chickens. I need another one or want to add one. What are your thoughts of adding another small coop (which I have partly made already with nice dog house) and making an adjoining run??? How will this work? Do chickens usually like to sleep separately?? Or is one chicken house better?? Your thoughts please. I have no experience with this.

You can have two coops and a shared run...put the new chickens in the new coop and leave them in there for a few days until they imprint on it...then probably once the are ranging in the run together they will each go into their own coops at night.
