I breed a small number of ringnecks for myself and local people, and I have been considering the idea of jumbo ringnecks for meat production. Last year I placed an order for some with Strombergs, and waited all year before they cancelled my order because the breeder couldn't produce. This year I asked about it, and they aren't dealing with that breeder because he is so unreliable. He is also the one that breeds their jumbo white which I had considered. The only other people that list jumbo pheasants are I think meyer or someone, when I called they haven't actually carried them in years due to the same problem. The XL pheasants run up to about 4 lbs, I was hoping for something even bigger (supposedly the jumbos go up to 7). Has anyone ever seen these giant pheasants? DO they exist? Was it all a marketing ploy and the farmer can't deliver? Does anyone know where I might source some? Thanks for any help anyone can give!!

McFarlane's has jumbo ring necked pheasants. They also, have the Manchurian cross pheasants. I don't think they have white jumbos. Best to get an order in now, they sell out fairly quick due to hunting preserves.
I often see auctions on ebay for white jumbo eggs. That may or may not be an option to look into for jumbos. Also, @Tony K T may know of a source. HTH
