yay!!! i got eggs today!! the box looked crushed but i saved four out of six eggs. Two have small cracks but im going to try to hatch them anyway.Thank you to my swap partner in texas!!
Oh! Any idea what these eggs would be?? They look like chicken eggs...........
I took part in 2 swaps in June, and am not sure which box is which. One was definetely quail. Small speckled eggs with tiny brown chicks that hatched a few days ago. The other had bantam size white eggs that were marked "self blue" and quail. If my hatch partners check this could you please contact me and let me know what I have. I would really like to know what varieties I have.
My turkey eggs are still cooking in the bator!! I think the hatch date is around the 23rd. Will keep you posted! I just hatched 2 turkeys from chickenlover54 so my fingers are crossed on these.
Didn't have good luck with my first batch of swap eggs.. Got only one good chick out of it which is a blue LF cochin which is super cute! The other two that did hatch was 1 BLRW and it was deformed and died quickly and the other was another blue LF cochin but will have to be culled due to a masive crossbeak
still have 2 more swap batches to go and they are due for lockdown Sat.
Still only on day 20 and still have a few swap eggs just pipped but thus far I have 5 swap chicks boppin around in there! I have a blue sizzle (no tophat tho
) a blue orpington, a white showgirl and renegaderidgefarm maybe you can help me out I have 2 OE chicks and both hatched out of eggs that where marked FDN and one chick looks quail-ish in color with black eyeliner and the other chick is all yellow. Are they both the fawn duckwing or could one have been labeled wrong? Not a big deal just don't know what is what color wise as I have never hatched out OEGB.
I have 2 FDW hens! One is dark and the other is really light. Could you post pictures of them - so I can see them!!! I rarely mark them wrong but I guess its possible. My little roos usually hatch with some stripping and the hens hatch solid. Sounds like you may have a roo and hen - great luck!!
