just butchered a couplemore roos, liver is light colored?

The first 2 I butchered had a nice dark red liver. The 2 I butchered today had much lighter colored livers, like almost a reddish tan color. Is this normal? Everything else about them seemed normal.

It has been VERY hot recently, could this have anything to do with it?
 
the older the bird the lighter the liver, or so I've been always told, seen it too, also free range or not makes a difference too
 
Whith age comes fat deposits. It is known as FATTY liver !
