Just checking to see what kind this is - I can't figure it out.

I thought I had one thing - then another - but I just don't know.

I have 4 of these - I'm pretty sure all 4 are cockerels - although I'm not sure about one. I did see a roo attempt to mount it one day.

I need to figure it out soon. I've got 4 roo's I need to get to the butcher - but I feel silly calling to ask if they will do just 4 - especially considering I could have up to 3 more.....

Sorry the first pic is a little blurry - bu you get the gist of it, hopefully. One of them is larger and thicker than the other three - and I've seen him mount a hen, despite not crowing yet.

While this one has a comb and wattles, I question whether it is a hen. The legs aren't quite as thick and it's not quite as big as the rest.... If I figure out the breed, I can have a better understanding as to whether or not I have all cockerels or if I have a mixture of hens & cockerels.....

Thanks for your help! I'm anxious to get my roo/hen ratio down to a more manageable number. I have at least 5 roos - maybe 9 - and then that would give me 24 to 20 hens......way too many boys!

yep Partridge Rock roos, both of them

I was gonna try to upload some images...but it doesn't seem to be working

Thanks everyone - you're all right. I'm going to call the butcher this morning and see if he will do 7 chickens or if that is too few....then I'll just have to do them myself.....the poor hens are getting attacked all day long - and not by just one, three or four at once pile up on the hen......I feel bad so it's time to just do it and get it over with.....I don't need this much chicken porn in my yard. :) My EE roo Elvis - I can't wait to eat him. He's such a horny little dude.....which is evident because he's kind of skinny compared to the rest of my boys....
