I'm new with chickens so I wanted to know about the lice. I've been fortunate not to have any pest problems among my roo and girls. I spray the coop when cleaning it and I put sevin dust in their dusting box. My curiosity is do I still need to do that through the Kansas weather or are they (pest) gone for the cold season?

I'm from Kansas, and the pest go dormint, but are still around. You will not need to treat as much, but good to stay on top of them.

Hey Henry!
I don't know about using sevin dust around the nest boxes. Maybe it's okay, I haven't read up on it.
I keep things dusted with DE and check the flock regularly. I think it would be more of a summer problem, but ya never know.
