Just found dead white rock :(

I just found one of my 7 week old white rocks dead!

I've lived on a farm my entire life so i can handle death but still its a shock. These were the first chickens that ive ever raised.

So what rips off a chickens head and eats the rest? For the time being I thinking it might be our border collie. Though she really has only "herded" them around when she was bord. But tomarrow she is spending the day on the leash.

Birds of prey and raccoons will do this.

Racoons rip off the chickens heads...don't know why they do this. Maybe to silence their screams. AWFUL animals! I HATE racoons.

Locked my chickens up and a racoon killed my pet cat while he was sleeping last night.
