Hi and welcome to BYC!! Egg eating is a big problem but it can be fixed. So many people have this problem that it was featured on the BYC homepage this week. I'll try to put a link.

Let me know if that link works for you. I hope this helps. Also if you have any more questions let me know. :)

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Congratulations on getting started raising chickens :celebrate I'm sure you will enjoy it very much. It's a great hobby and very rewarding. @megan13 has left you great link to check out on egg eaters. It's a habit you need to break ASAP. Wishing you the very best of luck.

Enjoy BYC :frow

That may be the answer to your lack of eggs, though you would find pieces of shell laying around. Egg eating is a hard habit to break though, once a hen starts they others will follow suit. Otherwise some predator may be stealing your eggs, or the girls have a hidden nest elsewhere. Do they free range at all? Could be under bushes, in corners etc.

Hi, welcome to BYC!

Check out the link Megan13 left you, it's a very good write up of steps you can take to break that habit.

Good luck to you, nice to have you here!
