I’m worried about one. I’ve never had chickens before so I don’t know if this is normal but I’m pretty sure it’s not. I’ve got one baby chick who isn’t moving. She’s currently napping but she’s laying down. Earlier she was kind of laying on her side and then she fell onto her back and couldn’t get back over so I helped her. I don’t want to lose her obviously. Is the anything I can do? Thanks for your responses!

Here’s a pic of how she’s currebtly hanging out. Which has been for a good amount of time. The others have been bouncing around her

About all you can do is try supplementing vitamins. You can sometimes find liquid chicken vitamins at the farm store, but the easiest to find are Poly-Vi-Sol liquid vitamins for babies, at the pharmacy or Wal-Mart. You want the ones WITHOUT iron, they come in two forms. You'd dip a q-tip in them to wet it and then put it on the chick's beak and press a bit to just release a small amount of liquid at a time (it's easy to drown a chick otherwise).

Also, if you go to town, it's always a safe bet to pick up some Corid liquid or powder from the farm store and add it to their water just in case. That's to prevent them dying from coccidiosis, which is usually the main concern with chicks. You can search up dosing recommendations or ask here if you buy it because the dose is different for liquid vs. powder.

And check her bottom too to see if there is any poop on it. First is to do as the others said and dip her beak to be sure she knows where the water is and add something to perk her and the others up.

This is important! Check her over! Poopy Butt (Despite the name) is very serious and a killer.

How old is she?
How many other chicks are with her?
What are you feeding?
Did you buy her? If so, where?
She’s a day or two old. I got her from tractor supply (I know they aren’t the best source but I checked the hatchery where they get them from so I took a chance)
There are five other chicks with her and they aren’t picking on her from what I’ve observed. I have chick starter and I’ve added the 3-1 hydro hen to their water. I’ve shown her both and she did drink a little. She seems a little better now though.

Okay, well check her butt, as I said before:
