Just how docile could I expect a black Australorp rooster to be?

New to raising chickens, and wondering just how strongly breed affects temperament. I realize black Australorps and known for their gentleness...Are some black Australorp roosters still aggressive?

Your best shot at getting a nice rooster is getting one that's around a year old from someone who aggressively culls for human aggression. In general though it's mostly up to chance whether you get a nice rooster or a mean one. Just don't keep a mean one if you wind up with one

I had 10 pullets with no rooster. They were all so sweet. One thing I did was to be quiet around them and not let them hear chicken noises, etc. if at all possible. Amazingly, they were so quiet when all grown up and made NO noises at all (until an egg was laid), then it was LOUD. But all other times, I never heard them. To me they are best chickens ever! Thank goodness, I never had a rooster since I am in the city limits.

Meanwhile I played melodic death metal for my girls when they were chicks. Most of them now regularly yell at me. At least my flock is totally metal (and very sweet and good natured)
