Hello! I am new to BYC and wanted to introduce myself. I love to browse this site and found the members to be so nice and helpful. I am glad I joined. I just started a small (very small

) flock of BO. They are a lot of fun to watch. Looking forward to spending sometime sharing their antics with all of you.

Thank you all for your warm welcome!
I gave some greens to my chicks today and they went crazy!

They also went crazy about the grit, so I had to remove it for a little while for them to eat their food. I guess they were pretty bored with the same old chick starter...

Thanks! The chicks are so much fun to watch. Some of them are trying to dust bathe in the brooder. All I have for them is pine shavings. I'm wondering if it's worth giving them sand or if the pine shavings will be a suitable place for them to bathe in. My brooder is a box, 49 1/2L by 29 1/2W. They are growing fast, but still seem to have enough space to run around and perch.
