Hey everyone,
I just made the move back to Mississippi (Desoto County) and am staying with my dad, although just found out it can only be a temporary stay until I find something else... (my stepmom is not wanting me here more than a few weeks)...
Does anyone know a good place to look for farm job/housing ads? I'm looking pretty much anywhere in the US but would prefer to stay in the south close to family... I need to find a farm to work on, that I can live there too... and my dog has to be welcome there, she is a good farm dog... Or even just a farm with a cheap trailer/room/apartment for rent, I can manage cheap rent and could get a part time job somewhere... could be a working farm or just someone who has a good bit of land where my dog would be happy and maybe (if I'm lucky enough) I could have a few chickens and guineas again...
I don't have much farm experience except what I've learned while raising poultry/fowl this year but am willing to learn. I need to be somewhere close to a school with a good Ag program, preferably one offering a husbandry focus... was looking into going to Northwest MS Comm College in the spring since it's close to where I'm at, but will have to see where I wind up living...
Please, if anyone knows of anything at all... or links I could go to for ads (I've tried the major job search sites, and have started trying local newspaper sites in various places)... Please let me know soon!
Thanks,
Lisa
