all three of my ducks turned out to be drakes.

My question is, will they all get a long okay? I don't have a female so there shouldn't be any fighting to mate. Just wondering how well drakes get along.

If I am considering getting some females, how many should I get for 3 drakes? I don't plan on getting rid of any of the boys. Should I sit tight for a while and enjoy the boys throughout the winter and then get girls in the spring/summer of next year? I'm not really set up to quarantine other ducks right now.

Thoughts and suggestions would be great.

They may get along without the distraction of a bunch of girls. You may also end up with a dominant drake mounting the other two. As for ration, 2 girls to one boy is good. 3 is even better.

I would just keep my eye on craigslist and see what comes up. You may be able to get a good deal on some ducks as we get closer to winter.

Thanks, yeah I already have a dominant drake. But I didn't know he would do that, thanks for the heads up. That would have really confused me! lol...

I was afraid of the number of girls to boys...that would put me needing 6-9 girls for 3 boys...that's a little more than I was intending at this time. I'm for sure waiting til summer next year to get anymore...thanks!

They will probably be okay with the batchelors club. Bummer that you have all guys, but actually better than having one poor female and two randy drakes.

yeah that was my concern before the third one got his tail feather...oh well. i still love them the same.

They should be fine if they were raised together. I am constructing a bacherlor pad for my three extra drakes...they get along with no problems.
