Hello,

I just placed an order for my first incubator....I am very excited. I ordered A Brinsea Octogon 20 Advance. Not sure how long it will take to get here.

Can someone point me in the right direction for some links on how to incubate? I have duck, goose, and chicken eggs here on the farm. I am assuming I should probably start with chicken. Are they the easiest? How many days can I collect eggs before they go into the incubator?

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.

Congrats, you're in for some wonderful yet stressful days! My first incubation was duck eggs and I had a marvelous hatch. It's been many years ago but I remember we had to spray the eggs with water every so often. Here are some great articles on hatching. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-and-raising-chicks

Congratulations on your first incubator! It's so much fun hatching out eggs, but very addictive, too

Ducks are the easiest for me to hatch out and my favorites too, but I started with chickens first to learn all about incubating. You can also look at the stickies for this section: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...hing-eggs-important-topic-index-please-review
