Just put in my first batch of eggs today!

Welcome to the newbies of hatching.

I actually posted this and put my eggs in last Thursday so now I am on day 7. I wouldn't worry too much about the temperature. I just make sure mine is between 99.5 and 101.0. My humidity fluctuates betweent 43%-45%. During the first 18 days you can open it and add water if you need it. It's day 18 through 21 that you cannot open it. Then you could use the hose or something similar to make sure the humidity is 65%-70%. I am new at this but have read these posts for days and hours on end and the info above is what I have gotten from reading on here. I am no expert though.

I have silkies and EE's. Most of my silkies didn't develop. They were shipped so I am thinking this was why. I have 8 out of 14 still in the bator of the silkies and I have 13 EE eggs in still. I have 1 little guy really developing. I posted a picture above your post where you can see him/her.

I think you will be fine. I was really worried too at first, but now I am more relaxed. I don't think the temp fluctuating a bit will hurt them at all.

Good luck with your hatch and keep coming here to post. I love hearing everyone's stories.
