I Just saw my first 'shooting star' literally 5 minutes ago in the Perseid Shower of 2009. Starts tonight (or where I am, it has started) and goes on until the 13th. Who else has seen a meteor?

poor little dieing star.... bye bye stars....

I've seen a meteor shower and several shooting stars in my lifetime... always cool to see.

I remember seeing that comet, not Haley's, the other one when I was in Jamaica. That was so cool. I have also seen shooting stars, very awesome!!

yes I've tried to see it every year since I was about 13. We'd sleep out on the pool deck and hope that it wasn't cloudy that night. It's starts here tonight at Midnight. I hope it's not cloudy;)

We see them almost every night here. We have really clear skies when it isn't cloudy with billions of stars to see.

About 8 yrs. ago I was with a friend and we saw a huge mountain like comet go through the sky. It was the biggest thing I have ever seen in my life as far as shooting stars. It had a tail that seemed to be 20 miles long...and my DHs parents saw it to on that same night and they were at their home.

It's also clear where I am nearly ever night

several years ago there was some kind of meteor shower that we got up really early and watched. It was cool. We layed out in our yard in lawn chairs and stared at the sky. To bad DS was to young to remember.
