I set my eggs and went out to town to make a trip to the feed store and came back to my incubator at 106.2 degrees!
I took all of the eggs out and got the temperature stabilizied and let them sit for about 6 hours before putting them back in... should they be ok? I'm about in tears because I've been waiting so long for these particular eggs :( --- (Goose and Duck eggs) They weren't at 106 more than 3 hours... maybe less than 2 as it takes my incubator a while to gain any amount of temperature.

Thank You.

The first ones I ever set spiked at 108 (according to the digital thermometer) for roughly an hour and a half while I had gone to TSC. I removed them just long enough to get the temp back correct and reset them. I set 17 eggs and 14 hatched and 2 of unhatched never developed. I'm no expert but I think they will be fine. I always make it a point to turn them at least 3 times a day (until day 18 of course) and I keep my temp between 99 and 100 (for chicks). Maintaining the temp and turning them often is by far the most important. I've had a very good hatch rates considering I'm only using a cheap still incubator.
