Well my “straight run” runners appear to all be drakes, so I ordered 6 sexed females from Metzer’s and they came this morning, totally happy and energetic despite their 3 day journey!

please look at them and coo. I already forgot how small they are at first

I went with Blue Swedish and Cayuga! I already have one Welsh Harlequin and 5 FW runners...3 of whom are going to find new homes sadly.

but here’s a bonus pic of them. I hope my silly useless post is okay, it’s just been so much panic and similar questions I thought, why not just show off some cuteness? Feel free to post your own!

Oh man, those guys are cute. I've never had ducks before but ducklings always manage to make my heart melt. I'd love some if I had more space. Your adults are beautiful, too; too bad they're all drakes. Thank you for sharing!!

They are beautiful! Just a friendly tip, you may want to use rougher/coarser bedding, newspaper can lead to splayed legs.

Thank you! Those are actually puppy pads over two layers of towels. Is that enough for the first week? It’s what I did last time until I swapped to pine.

Oh, I should mention that I also have a ceramic heat bulb for when they outgrow the radiant brooder. But here’s a pic of my ridiculous puppy pads. They have a “comical newspaper design”.
