So last year, I got an envelope from cackle hatchery that had a hand-written address- so clearly not a bulk mailing. Since I never have ordered anything from them, curiously, I opened it right away. Inside was a $100 check for a photo contest I won with my three pet BB bronze toms. Pretty cool since they cost me enough and will obviously never “earn their keep” being pets and all.
They are the ones pictured in the aviator and the first winner for “best of breed”.
Just had to brag a little on my fat boys and thank cackle for picking such handsome boys! I’ve decided when I need merchandise (not birds since, we’ve not only gotten our toes wet - but rather, jumped into the darn lake head first with the exotic chickens. Damn you, chicken math, damn you... but really, it was very thought out and intentional. Point is, I don’t need any hatchery birds!) that I will use the boys winnings to order it from cackle. It’s the least I can do! And they really do have some unique items geared to us chicken fanatics! There’s my shameless and grateful plug!
