We're in the process of deciding on a chicken coop design, which is how we found this website. We both had chickens at home when we were growing up and are excited to have a few hens (6?) together. Live in Port Townsend, WA.

My husband had this one built for me. the detailed plans are only $10 but if you know what you're doing (we didn't!) you could probably do it from the tutorial.

We've been very happy with it.

Whatever you do the most important thing is to investigate what predators you have in your area and make it predator-proof. It will save you tears, anxiety and chickens to know you have.
