Just starting out

Hello. I am new to this chicken stuff.
I have just bought 6 chicks from the susquehanna poultry show about a month ago and still thrilled. I have 2 marans (one which I think is a rooster) 2 red stars, and 2 buff orpingtons. We (husband and I) are currently working the coop. We have the foundation and all four walls done. Needing to start on the roof but it is raining. Just want it done and it isnt quick enough. LOL

Just be certain to build BIGGER... because, YOU are going to want more chickens!

I'm getting NOTHING done today because of the RAIN... and I live in AZ so I should be happy we have RAIN... but it's SATURDAY.

My coop is 7X7 and I wish I could go bigger but then my whole backyard would be chicken coop and run. We used whatever materials we had laying around and now having to buy more. RAIN, RAIN go away.
Thanks for the welcome. I have learned so much from this site. It is a wonderful tool.
