Yet again I got a injured baby chick, when it hatched I don't know if it was born with its eyes shut or if something happened, my guess is he hatched and maybe scratched his eyes on the egg shell, he got picked on and they hit his left eye and he's got a scab on it, I live in a basement so it's cold, I have him in my lap under a blanket with a heating pad below him, he's still chirping and moving around like a champ but I think he misses his mom and I also don't really know how to feed him, anytime I let him wander he loudly chirps till he finds a spot in my hood or my hand, he also has pooped twice and he's gotten chicken ointment stuff on his scarred area not directly on the eyes though, and final thing he's also not letting me let him stay under the heater we have, he'll sleep then chirp loudly then sleep. Any tips on what to do about his injuries or anything I can do better care wise?

Here's the little guy

I'd place a mirror in with him along with a feather duster if you have one. Chickens don't like to be alone so that should help a bit. He can see out of his right eye correct? If so I'd dip his beak in his water so he knows where that is and peck your fingers in his food so he knows where that is. I'd also give him an egg yolk just to give him a little extra strength and you can also mix some chick feed with water. Do know that it's not unusual for chicks to not be too interested in food their first 3 days of life but still make sure he can eat if he is hungry
