So i have 6 chickens, all of them just turned 4 weeks old yesterday. We've had some "outside time" for a few hours on nice days (if i see any signs they are cold i immeadiatly take them back to the brooder.) On Easter, one of the chickies, Jackie, found a worm. (My friend who was over at the time was freaking out) She finally figured out how to eat it, and took it to the oppisite side of the run, and wolfed it down. After that, you could tell she was looking for more! Well, yesterday, she found another one. But her sister, Honey, (Its importiant to know that Jackie is the least dominate of all of the chickens, and probobly at the very bottom of the pecking order,) stole it from her! Honey was about to eat it, but then she got scared of it and left it alone. Jackie came running back, found the worm, and ran around with it as if to say, "Im the only one who knows how to eat this! Its so good!!" and pranced about with the worm in her mouth. The most dominate chick in the group, Kaden, tried to steal it from her, but she simply just ran away, twoards the corner, and ate it up so quickly you wouldve thought she was born for worm eating. She looked so proud of herself.
