A pretty colored chick I have. She's an Easter Egger silkie mix, her name is Hops. She actually might be a pullet now I'm not quite sure, she's mixed with a bantam so I don't know what size she's supposed to be. Anyways, Don't know if there's a name for this coloring, kinda reminds me of a mille fleur but the spots seem too big. Either way, I love looking at her!

What makes you say? I don't mind either way, I'm just curious how you can tell. We assumed the chick is a female because she has short tail feathers
Tails mean nothing at this age.
The color of this one is sexable.

I have an example, but I seem to have lost the picture somehow.

Interesting! Our other chick looked identical to this one when they were first hatched but are now drastically different looking. So we didn't think they would be sex linked. The third chick we had in fact was completely different from the three, that one was light yellow as a baby, and began to develop a couple spots like the other ones, unfortunately it didn't grow old enough for us to see how it would look like bigger. I unfortunately don't have a picture of the second one's current look, but think barred rock pattern with like a third of the stripes, far lighter stripes, and a grey/cream base color

I would buy one straight away for $100 U.S. if healthy!
