My sweet little cockeral, Ricky, is crowing now! First one was yesterday, on the 4th of July, probably in response to the fireworks; it was hilarious and quite pitiful to listen to! Today, I've heard him crow at least a dozen times and the goofy boy thinks I've lost MY mind because I'm following him around the yard with a camera trying to get a video of him doing it!

He's certainly making up for lost time as his brothers have been crowing for 3 weeks (they don't live here, but I know their owner)! Here's my 11.5 week old Appenzeller Spitzhauben/Easter Egger x roo:

Roos are so cute when they start to crow. When I heard my boys crow for the first time I thought there
was something wrong with him.

Your roo is so cute!! Love the look he is giving the camera.

He is very pretty. I bet it was the fireworks. We had a nest box full of eggs after my neighbors were done with their show. Two of the eggs were tiny, and obviously belonged to my young girls. I was so excited. My poor goats were so scared, and when I went into the barn, they were cowering in the corner, and they all ran to me, and were climbing all over each other to be by me. I felt kind of bad for my animals that night! But, like you, I was excited about the new accomplishments of the young ones.
