they hatch anyways!!

Poor little things have suffered through temp spikes, temp drops, humidity crashes and me forgetting to turn them. So today was day 20 and I was getting ready to candle to try to determine why they died without pipping. (They are bantam and usually hatch on day 19). I picked the first one up and the shell 'gave' a bit between my fingers and I heard 'PEEP'. Holy hannah. Its alive and zipping!!!!

So perhaps there is some hope for the 7 little fella's.

Oh, I so agree never give up fast. I had a sportman full of turkeys when the power was off for several hours. Temp in bator was only 80 when I got home. Packed them in a ice chest with cover and drove them12 miles to sons. Set everything and popped them in the minute it hit 95. Figured they both could warm together. First tray 85% hatch and would have had a 90 plus if I had remember to tell my DIL not to open hatcher once moved. Second tray hatching right now go a 95 per cent hatch. Not bad for abused turkeys I would say. When you do everything by the book when you get a bad hatch, I found out.
