I am looking for some reviews from those that may use Kalmbach feeds.
It looks like a really quality product when comparing ingredients of other manufacturers. I notice nearly twice the level of vitamins. Looking forward to hearing from those who use this feed. I am thinking of trying the 20% Flock Maker. After all I do have a mixed flock of Chickens, Turkeys, and Quail.

They are also from your home state also. Kinda of nice to have some fairly local suppliers. Any reason why your not currently using it?
I know they are from Ohio, but have a plant in PA & maybe in Indiana. It is hard to get it around here, because everything is Purina. My feed store does carry the Non GMO, because Purina doesn't have any, but they mostly carry the crumbles.

I purchased a bag of the Flock Maker. First thing I noticed is the bags stinks. Not because it’s bad but I believe due to the added pre&probiotics. It was over $19 a bag including tax so not cheap. Gave some to the flock and they liked it but wondering if I really want to pay that much per bag. I am getting Poulin feed for roughly $15 a bag so I guess I could just mix up a packet of probiotics into the water weekly. For those who give pre n probiotics how are you giving it to them?

I use it with my hens (I only have 3 left and it’s quite cold so laying is not reliable) and they seem to be doing well! Two have molted while on it and soon after eggs have been great! They seem very happy with it and actually more feed efficient — they eat significantly less on this than before but remain healthy and laying (as much as one can expect in winter). Highly recommend it, and depending on the size of operation, a little extra cost may prove beneficial with its feed efficiency. Although here I believe it’s equal or similar cost to other brands, but I am in Ohio so that could be why.

I started mixing it into my existing feed to start switching them over. I found another supplier that would bring it in for me at $16 per bag. Great price. I am glad to hear you like it. Which feed are you using?
