Keep Cool .. any suggestions for my hens ??

Summer is finally here.. in New Jersey at least.... this will be my first summer with chickens.... what suggestions for keeping them cool ??? thanks

I have a small fan running 24/7 in my coop. I'm in florida so it's really hot & very high humidity here. I bought a cheap $12. fan at walmart it does the trick. Plus I hung a white towel on the top half of the window that faces west. Help with the evening sun which for us is the hot time of the day.

How is your coop built? is it a freestanding little pen or a large house?
Try hanging old canvas over the sunniest side.
Canvas doesnt flap around like plastic, also try hosing the canvas. Can you freerange them so they can cool under trees or have a dustbath.
