I used the dry incubation method with my first hatch (got 66% hatch on shipped eggs with a 30% relative humidity average), but this latest batch of eggs is rather porous. I got Lavender Orps from that lady with the super expensive rare English Orp colors on eBay, and all the ones I've candled so far are fairly porous, but seem to be developing just fine so far. I'm keeping the humidity around 40% this time so they won't dry out; that makes sense, right?

I really, really want these babies; I'd welcome any tips on porous eggs.

I hope it goes well, sounds like they will be pretty.
Don't worry, 40% is still in a safe range, main thing is to watch the size of the airsac, if it is increasing in size faster than normal then increase humidity accordingly.
