I knew a lot of these but a few I hadn't heard of yet but will try when needed. The honey also works on cuts and rug burn type abrasions the same way. Put on FRESH honey and cover with a bandage or wrap of somekind. The key is Fresh Honey. Check for a local beekeeper ( they are pretty easy to find, you can check with local ag. agent) because most commercial honey has imported honey :thun mixed in with it from china, argentina, etc. and you never know what impurities you may get so it is best to avoid those for topical applications. I have a few hives myself so the "local" honey is no problem for me.

Thanks, I have an herbal cold/flu remedy that I keep in the fridge, I even take a little when feeling sluggish. I have to look up the recipe in my herbal book, I will do it tonight and post. I can't right now because I am trying to find a recipe for dinner tonight and I keep reading and posting instead. I have only been on here twice since the begining of the year and have been going crazy!!

Back to the recipe search.

As someone who is allergic to aspirin I'd like to add that all Alka Seltzer products contain some aspirin as far as I know. I just quickly checked their webite and every one that I looked at contained some aspirin.

I finally found time to get out the recipe for Antiflu Preperation. I have been busy cleaning all week . I sometimes will take a little when i am feeling sluggish; it perks me up right away! Here it is:

Antiflu Preperation

2 t. cayenne pepper
1 1/2 t. sea salt, or common salt
1 C. boiling water
1 C. apple cider vinegar

Grind together the pepper and salt to form a paste. Add boiling water(or some strong, strained chamomile tea).
Steep and cool. Add the vinegar to the water. Most adults can take between a t. to a T. every half hour. If it seems to strong, dilute it.
