I am upset at my daughter even though it was an accident. She went into the pasture (even though she has been told over and over not to without an adult) and my horse saw her so she went running over to get attention. In the process she stepped on one of the Faverolle boys I was planning on keeping. I had to finish him off so he didn't suffer.

So sorry for your loss! We had a silly accident happen a few weeks ago and it cost us 1/3 of the flock. I still have a hard time thinking about it so I feel your pain!

I know how that feels.... I am so sorry for your loss.... I had one of my horses step on a week old duckling and kill it. My Dh also accidentally backed over one of my adult ducks last week when he was leaving.

My hen keeps her distance from me since I ALMOST ran over her while backing up the car. Smart bird--how did she know I was the driver!?!?!
