Hey,

I just signed up here. Feels exited to be involved in the conversations about hens.
Got a problem which is really bothering me and my family in keeping a broody hen.

My hen just got broody and I have kept it near the cages of other chicks of different sizes.
Will the noise of chicks do matters the hen on eggs?
Do it disturbs the hen brooding the eggs?
Should I keep it there or not?

Waiting for feed backs.

Hello and welcome to BYC

Broody hens go into a "trance" when they are sitting on eggs, so I doubt the noise of the chicks will bother her, but it also depends on the individual hen, really. Keep and eye on her and see if/how she responds to the chicks. If she doesn't pay them any attention leave her where she is.

I agree with Sumi. As long as she is content in her chosen nest site, leave her there. Welcome to BYC.

Thanks for feed back.
Really she was disturbed bcz oh chicks.
I have changed her place.
27th is the date of hatching.
Can't w8 for the chicks to play around my garden.
