Ok, I think the 2 silkies we have are male and my dads friend is going to rehome them. I have 1 lavender bantam that I know is male as he found his voice at 5 weeks old and I am so very attached to him. I have 1 lavender female and I plan to rehome 2 rescue hens soon. Will it be an issue having a male amongst 3 females? I am a new chicken keeper and still learning my way around things. I did want to keep just hens but I am so attached to this little boy I can't imagine letting him go. I love my silkies of course but they have bullied our boy alot which is sad to see.
I do live in a residential area but I am hoping he won't be too loud. At the moment he only seems to crow first thing in the morning at around 7am. He is about 12 weeks old now. I am thinking it will be an issue and I will have to rehome him too :-(
