Keeping ducks with chickens

I've read the other post about keeping them together how ducks or geese (idk which one I want yet) but the way I want to do it is get one of them little ponds from walmart and put it in the ground and I didn't want a pond in the coop because I was going to let them free range all day they'd only sleep together at night also when you introduce chickens to geese or ducks how does it usually go I know they could kill eachother just like when you introduce chickens together but is there any thing I should do before I introduce them I only wanted to get maybe 2 or 3 ducks or geese I might not get any boys of either kind idk yet
