Keeping Ducks

What are some legitimate reasons for keeping ducks? like meat, eggs, and usefulness.....THANKS!

Wait you mean ducks dont ya?Well first there great at laying eggs escpecially khaki cambells,if you raise pekin ducks for meat you can butcher them at 7 weeks.There are ducks called runners that look like soliders and its always funny to see a group of them running around your yard.They have great personalities and fun to raise(but are a bit messy!)Its fun to watch them on a rainy day playing out in the yard and dabbling out in the mud,whenever you give them food they come to greet you with funny quacks.What im saying here is that when I first started raising ducks I thought I would only do it for there eggs but now I really dont care about the eggs anymore(although delicous)all I really care now is just seeing them play in water and watch them do all there funny duck things.Hope this helped you out!

Well, they lay eggs and they are cute. They lay eggs and are funny to watch. Did I mention they lay eggs? Nothin' more cute than a duck in a clean pool. It has been about 20 years but I am ready to watch them again.
Oh yeah, and I want the eggs!
I suppose you could eat them but I have never cared for duck meat. If we wind up with drakes I suppose DH will get to eat some.
