Keeping geese in coop

How long should I keep my geese in the coop? I just built them a new one and hoping they go in every night. I guess I'm trying to ask should I leave them in there for a couple of day?

Don't leave them in there for days, that would be cruel. They'd be bored witless.

Geese don't naturally seek shelter at night the way chickens do, and they usually take some time to accept new things. But you can train them to go in at night, and if they're used to doing that in their old coop, it shouldn't be too hard. Lure them in with their favorite food and get them to accept the new coop as non-threatening.
