First off I have two hens. 1 BPR and 1 RIR
The barred Plymouth Rock has been cantankerous all day. Chasing the cat, staring at my 6 week old chicks (who are outside in a chicken tractor) and eating a lot of food. She has already laid today but she keeps going in and out of the nesting box. Is she broody? Or is she just being weird? I thought that BPR are not supposed to go broody?
Thanks,
Zoë
Update:
Maybe I forgot an egg? Cause she is making her egg laying noise.
Update:
I just tested the egg that she laid today and it sunk. Also I have been recording there egg laying and it would have had to be last tuesday because she's laid every single day after that.
Maybe she is just going to lay two eggs today???
Update:
Now she is out of the coop acting normal
