Is this your first time raising keets? Keets go through an awkward stage at about 1-2 weeks with lots of wing development and not much muscle to hold it up. It reminds me of angelwing in ducklings, but it’s completely normal in keets. They look very odd and awkward for awhile! From your picture, that seems most likely to be what’s happening with your keet, unless you think there are broken bones or some other problem?one of my week old keets wings look strange....they stick out, are longer and droop, also, the keet does not seem to have full control of them....
Are you feeding them differently? I sold some one week old keets last year, where they were in a taped box with air holes. When the new owner got home and took them out, she called me, distressed that their wings were “all messed up, with feather sticking out”. They were totally normal, just starting their weird wing feather thing! I reassured her of that and talked with her a month later, when the keets were flying everywhere.no, I've had keets once or twice before, but this is the first time I've seen it in keets that little....but, I have seen something similar in keets about a month or two old that had droopy wings....that bird could not fly to well, & I think it eventually got normal....
You would be better off to provide them with a vitamin B complex rather than limiting them to vitamin B12. The vitamin B Complex will include the B12 but will also supply them with the niacin and thiamine they need for proper growth and development.nope....feeding them 22% nutrena gamebird feed & putting a liquid b-12 supplement in their water....
I brought these home in a cardboard box about a week ago, and they all have been looking fine until yesterday when I noticed this one keets wings....
I think it will eventually turn out alright, just trying to see what it is & if it's something that can be avoided in the future....
