Hi,
Yesterday it was beautiful out and I decided I would take my 3 week old guinea keets out for the first time. Everything seemed to be going well but they were nervous and hid in the grass. So I figured I would put them back in and all 3 of them took off running into the woods. I spend about 6 hours yesterday looking for them but I was only able to find 1. They have great camouflage and it's heavily wooded with lots of prickers. This morning I could hear one making a distress call but again I couldn't find it. It went quiet as soon as I went into the woods. I've put out their food and water from their incubator along with a flashlight last night but no luck.
Does anyone know of any method to catch them or call them back? They don't really know the area as it was their first time outside. I have other chickens/guineas but they are larger and I don't think the keets were attracted to them. Any help at all is appreciated. The whole situation is a bit depressing. Thank You!
