Kenny has me worried

My brown mallard drake Kenny has me worried. His bill looks like it is peeling and he had a little blood on his nostrils. Him and his girl Dolly life with my chickens because he kept breeding my Pekings and Muscovies. Yesterday he was by the duck pen and I had to pick him up and take him back to the coop. That's when I noticed the bill. I have never seen the chickens pecking him so I am wondering if it might be part of a natural process
