Hello, I have recently purchased a Khaki Campbell from Atwoods and along with the duckling a kennel and non medicated game bird feed. I can't sleep at night because he chirps, chirps, chirps! Advice for chirping? Also we are in the middle of building a duck coop with pallets and leftover wood from roofing our huge dog house, do they need nesting boxes?

There could be one of three, if not all possibilities:
1. He could be cold- make sure that he has a warm area (95°) and a cooler area (around 75°) in his kennel.
2. He could be lonely- ducks are social creatures, and do best in groups of two or more.
3. If he imprints on you, leaving him along for a few minutes may cause him to chirp constantly.

I recommend getting at least one more duck or chicken to go with him (preferably a duck). This should help with the chirping. Also, some breeds of ducks tend tend to be noisier than others.
