I'm new to hatching and we have got to day 31 with not much luck. We had one pip early yesterday morning and it appears to just keep pipping throughout the last 24 hrs. I checked this morning and he has pipped in a small circle(about the size of a dime) on the same side of the egg. Each pip appears to crack the shell but doesn't completely break through until this last one slightly. I can not find any information regarding this happening on any forum or google search. We kept the temp at 99.5 with humidity up to 55% all the way up to day 25. At day 25 I removed the automatic turner and set temp to 98.5 and increased the humidity to 75%. I knew the hatch would take a little longer due to the eggs being shipped to us so I'm not too concerned with the days it took to pip. Has anyone ever had a similar issue? I can take a picture when I get home from work but the best I can describe is it is a series of five pips in a small counter clockwise circle in the air sac, all relatively on the same side of the broad end of the egg. I almost think that the little guy kept pipping in the air sac until he was able to break through and found the sweet spot close to where he started. Still movement noticed every few hours when I check, just was curious if anyone has experienced this

Thanks

Just got home and found he made one big hole out of all his pips. Looks like his first pip may have hit a vein so he went elsewhere. Does this sound correct to anyone?
