I love my Khakis but mine have never gone broody for more than a few mornings. By afternoon, they are back with the flock. I have one Welsh Harlequin and she is a little larger, which would be better for a meat bird, she lays larger eggs, and so far has laid as many eggs as my Khakis. I have not let her keep any eggs but all the books say they are good mothers. Welsh Harlequins were bred from Khaki Campbells.Nah. Can’t compete with a Campbell. Great egg layers, and wonderful mothers..
