Khaki Campbell

These are my two 5 month old Khaki campbell ducks. I was wondering at what age do they start laying. And do they need a nesting box? I'm a new duck mom. I was told they are both female. They are both loud and proud.

They are lovely! I think about 24 weeks is a common age to start. My ducks lay in the corner of their house and all over the yard .

You can give them a nesting box. I started with cardboard produce boxes from Costco. Then made some out of plywood. I put a ceramic egg in to show them what it was for. Everybody would line up to use the same box, silly girls. Also, new layers pretty much plop them out wherever they are. I have one now that lays beside or in front and never goes in.

When mine hatch in April they usually start in September sometime.
