Bought what I was told were swedish, turns out khaki campbells - love these ducks, question is does anyone have any idea what sex they might be?? I've heard the bill color, the sound they make etc, well they all make pretty much the same quack but the lighter bill is pretty quiet, did make a funny noise at one time, but...their coloring all seems pretty much the same and I see green coming in on their heads and you can see in the pics...just not sure what I have seeing as all the pics and info i see and read...maybe just have to wait :/

Don't quote me, lol. But normally the males have the green on their heads and have a soft wisper quack, or they just.make soft noises. The females are lighter color. I have one female kc and she is a much lighter camel color with the blue speculum. It looks like two of yours have green coming in. They will probably change color again being that they are still young. How many do you have?

Ok, just tried picking them up 1 by 1 and none of them really made any noise, 1 was alittle fussy but not enough to tell drake or not, the other 3 did nothing but not sure if its because they are so tame or if that even makes a difference. I see green coming in on 3 of their heads, 4th cant really tell yet...guess its just going to be a waiting game at this point! If all males, we will have to get females because I wanted them for the eggs...how many males can you keep with females?? :/

We just have the 4 ducks, well six, but 2 are mallards (males)

Now have 3 flying ducks, my 2 mallards and 1 khaki that just figured out it could....love the ducks, such great personalities

You may have to wait a little more to tell by the quacks. I have one mallard male and four females(three mallard one kc), and he mates all day long to the point of pulling feathers and almost drowning them. The males are very aggressive sexually. If you had one female and many males they would probably kill her trying to mate or fight each other to be the alpha. Even the females will dominate other females for alpha. It's a huge pecking order.

lol well that doesnt sound fun, poor female! I'm thinking I have 4 males, plus I have 2 male mallards...so yesterday I did order 4 female kc's and I only want 1 male, going to have to find homes for the other 3 boys, I am guessing that the mallards will eventually fly off...can't wait to get my ducklings :D

The mallards won't normally fly off if they're fed and content unless they're more wild. Yeah not fun watching the brutality sometimes, lol. I think it takes about five females per male to keep them from hurting each other, especially with mallards. The kc may be more calm, hopefully. I'm about to have some babies, if you lived close I'd give you some. I'm in Tennessee. It's hard to tell what they are when they're little unless they sext them before purchase. Good luck! I hope your little flock does well.

Thank you, guess I am stuck with my males, seems you have to order 15 at a time and I dont need that many, was just going to keep 1 kc male and find homes for the rest if I got some females...i'm in Dunlap TN just outside Chattanooga

and i'm guessing that my mallard boys are going to stick around seeing as they are really friendly
