Khaki Ducklings voice gender id

at what age do the ducklings’ voices begin to change? I’m not comfortable vent sexing chicks or ducks so I’m dependent on behavior/plumage/voice. I really don’t want to mess up the ratio and end up with too many drakes. The ducklings in question this time are Khaki Campbells. Any info on when and how to identify the difference on these are greatly appreciated. I have other ducks, just not this breed. Many thank-yous in advance!

The females will start quacking at 4-6 weeks old, and the males will start making a raspy voice at about 8 weeks old. How old are your ducklings?

With my flock if I remember correctly it was about the 7th week.

I’d pick each one up & the loud quacks ended up being girls. My Drake a that time wasn’t rasping yet but still sounded like a baby.

Much younger than that. I was just prepping for whenever the time came. They are a little less than 2 weeks old.

What the above posters are saying seems to be typical. Late quackers can happen though! Mine were!
